Gonski is an investment

Stayed up against my better judgement to watch Lateline last night where they had a story about New Zealand's 'bold' policy of balancing their budget by tipping vulnerable people off of welfare.

 Apparently our Federal Government is heading across the Pacific to find out how it's done. ( personally I think they are masters of it already) It wasn't all one sided for a change and they had a spokesperson from St Vincent DePaul on with very effective counter-arguments. 

One point he made from the onset was that any attempt to go down the NZ road has already been scuppered by them because they have failed to deliver on Gonski and are wrecking ( especially in NSW) TAFE as well as losing billions investing in shonky private providers.
