Worms

I had a nice welcome from a bovine family this morning when I unlocked the toilets.

My grade 2 girl read some books about worms today and we went outside and dug up some.

 Which she took photos of....

And then we made a wormery for them.

First we put in nice moist soil.

then a layer of sand and then another layer of soil and then topped it off with twigs, leaves and plant litter.

We covered our container in black paper and we will check up on it later in the week.

I started to shift our long jump pit to the sand pit but our wheelbarrow wheel was flat!
