Napoli antics continue at IBAC

A hearing into corruption in the Victorian Education Department has been played audio recordings of a Melbourne primary school principal allegedly trying to coerce a witness into lying to the inquiry.

The Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC) is holding the inquiry into the misuse of department funds and financial mismanagement.

Ralph Napoli, the son of now sacked director of resources Nino Napoli, today testified his father and Mick Giulieri, the current principal of Keilor Heights Primary School, tried to convince him to perjure himself.

Throughout last year, IBAC investigators recorded conversations in the Napoli family home.

On several occasions Mr Giulieri can be heard at the house trying to concoct a plausible story for why Ralph Napoli would have been paid $120,000, mostly for work he never did at Essendon North Primary School.

Experiments

We finished off some of our experiments today. The celery experiment worked much better with food Coloring and the kids added their faces to their 'Hairy Harry's '.

On Sunday I'll be going to the Clunes Book Fair and next week we'll be working on 'The Lost World' and 'Jurassic Park'.
